Classified Document Analyst II - Nuclear
GET-NSA is seeking qualified individuals for the position of Document Review Analyst II, in support of the Department of Energy's Office of Classification.
The Document Review Analyst II conducts classification reviews of government documents primarily at the National Declassification Center (NDC), National Archives and Records Administration, in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, DOE orders, and DOE Office of Classification procedures for Restricted Data (RD), Formerly Restricted Data (FRD), and National Security Information (NSI) technical areas such as:
- Nuclear weapons design, development, testing, production, and deployment
- Special nuclear material (SNM) production technologies
- Nuclear weapons safeguards and security, and transportation
- Chemical and biological defense activities
- Radiological weapons
- Space nuclear reactors and naval nuclear propulsion
Candidate must be a United States citizen, and able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Experience & Skills:
Individual should have five years' experience working in at least one of the nuclear-related subject areas described in the bullet points above. A combination of institutional/instructional training and actual hands-on experience may be sufficient to qualify on experience. Individuals who have completed the Navy Nuclear Power School are urged to apply for this position. Work experience at a Department of Energy field location or program office in classified subject areas, or military nuclear weapon experience is highly desirable.
A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college in engineering, physical science, or nuclear science is highly desirable. Alternately, individuals who have completed the Navy Nuclear Power School, independent of academic major, are also urged to apply for this position.
